OMG, I wish I could have been there to watch you put that woman in her place!!!!! You should have told her that now HER husband is much happier too

My mom is the one that probably said the thing that I can't get out of my head... she meant well, I guess

"Oh I'm so happy that you look like Pamela again!"... Um, mom... I WAS PAMELA THE WHOLE TIME!!!!!

I've been very lucky in that I haven't had any really weird comments to my face. I am probably too open about my surgery though. I don't just tell people I had the surgery, I feel like it's my place to give them a quick 1 minute explanation of the surgery, the benefits, and the fact that it isn't always easy at all... I'm sure by then they just want to walk away LOLOL

It was quite a scene -- you know, I am sort of known for speaking my mind. Her husband had just left her -- I was too kind to bring that into the retort -- but it wasn't pretty. She passes me with her head down now --

I've gotten a few of the common ones you mentioned.

The creepiest moment was when my FIL flirted with me at our Christmas party in 2013. He was all schmoozing with me,and nudging my shoulders and **** "Howww YOU doin', pretty lady??" Uk. He was also the first to tell me to stop losing weight. "You're going to fade away to nothing!" ( then in the same breath, he tells my husband "You get heavier every time I see you." My FIL was not a nice man. )

Ugggghh!!!

I hatehatehate when people (and they all seem to do it) say something along the lines of: You've lost weight; good job, keep it up. AGH! No one is allowed to tell me that I'm still too fat!

When I went for my check up at around a year out the medical assistant who took me back and weighed me in (I was under 200lbs at the time) asked when I was having surgery. I had already lost over 100 pounds and she had my stinking chart in front of her face!!! I was so mad.

I only think of good things to say after the fact, but when she asked when you're going to have your surgery, you could have said "When are you going to finish your training as a medical assistant?"
