One of the few dietary sins I haven't committed.

I fight badgers with spoons.

I'm happy to report I stand with you on never committing this particular sin... Not that there aren't a variety of deep fried things that I DO happen to have a past relationship with

This is a weird one - my bariatric surgeon puts on a party for his post ops every year where he asks most of us to strut the catwalk .

Every year I get a costume of either short shorts and platform heels ( or lately) an actual bikini.

I don't know why it makes me feel self conscious but I'm always the grrl in the least clothes.. and though I'm happy to show what's possible skin wise and weight loss wise - I feel NEKKID and a bit pale and pudgy especially since the party's in the middle of the winter :(

I've gotten asked questions like did you really need the surgery ( no I just had it for fun) .. How come I'm regaining ( when his / her diet is fast food three times a day ) do you really work out ? In a gym ? YES!! It makes me very sad to see fellow successful patients struggling with creeping regain too.

I've had one person from my church tell me that she always "thought I should lose weight." She told me that she was worried about me, but her motives are questionable because she never really talked to me prior to my weight loss. The way she talks to me now makes it seem like we've always been friends.

I get a lot of "You have to feel so much better" comments, but those don't really bother me. "You look so much better" comments DO bother me. How did I look prior to my surgery? Like hell?

I feel the same way.
