Worst Thing Said to You After Losing A Lot of Weight...
Me too, in the moment I was too stunned to say anything smart but after it was too late I had thought of lots of things I should have said to her. I did let the doctor and nut know about it and how much it bothered me though.
Had VSG on 9/28/15

This is from my 170 pound loss in 2012... I haven't worn short sleeves in over 25 years because my arms are one of my most self-conscious parts - I gain a lot of weight there and I when I lose, they hang badly.
One day at our family lake house everyone was out for the day, so I thought I'd take advantage of the solitude and sit in the sun in a tank top to tan my upper arms since my 3/4 length farmer tan was so pronounced. My aunt, who was born without a filter, came home unexpectedly and saw me. She said, "Why don't you ever wear short sleeves or a bathing suit?" I answered truthfully that I don't like to display my upper arms. She said, "If I had those arms I'd hate them too!" Ah family.
Cousin ....?

I just updated my profile pic on FB and had a friend comment 'jawbone, cheekbones!' I replied 'yeah, pretty sure I've always had those!' I mean wtf?
i was getting a massage a few months ago and the therapist kept asking me what I was going to do about all my extra skin. I was so pissed - I'm pretty good at shutting down convo in that situation. I called and complained about her later. So damn unprofessional and beyond rude.

I've been trying to think if I've had anyone say anything rude to me, or what I would consider rude, but I can't think of anything. I have had a couple of things happen that I thought were amusing, though.
I was a birthday party for my cousin's oldest--I think he was turning 4--and I was in the kitchen chatting with some people. There was a good friend of my cousin's there whom I'd met a few times and she was remarking on my weight loss. I told her I had surgery and she "mmm'd" and "oh'd" and then she asked me how much weight I'd lost. Now, I know I was fat as hell and why hide it, right? So I told her I'd lost about 160 lbs. Her eyes got all big and she said in a really quiet voice, "How overweight were you?" I said, "Very!" and cracked up inside.
Growing up, my mom's cousin Mary was very active in local theater. My mom passed away in 2013 shortly after my surgery. I saw Mary during the funeral, but I hadn't seen her until my dad saw she was in a play and said we should go see her. So we went with her other cousin and his wife and went backstage to meet her after the show. She was completely delighted that we'd come and hugged all around and so we're standing there chatting and she turned to me and said, "Now, who are you?" I said, "I'm Jennifer!" and she was completely blown away. I wasn't upset because she's old and I haven't seen her in a long time. I thought it was pretty funny.

Being called fat or chubby after losing 153 lbs. Also being told any advice I may give is worthless because my waist size isn't an 18, no matter how spot on the advice may be.
