I like this meme but I'm trying to quit carbs. Do you have a meme with beef jerky or cheese?

They all have profiles, it's clear as day. I've been around long enough to see all these not-slim folks giving weight loss advice.

Congrats on the weightloss. Losing those 15lbs is not easy this far out. Well done.

I'm sure if you take a snapshot of any of the long term vets who hang around here you'd see regains and loss over the years. It's not easy for any of us to stay exactly the same weight over 10, 12 or 15 years.

You went from what, 184lbs to 215lbs and now to 200lbs. That is to be celebrated, it's not 400 lbs is it? I thank every day that I'm able to maintain a healthy weight after all this time, but don't hold any derision or hatred for those who don't. It's not easy.

Ok another movie line:

The Truth...you can't handle the truth.

I think you may steal the VILE AND MALICIOUS title from me. But I agree ...someone that is a "vet" is not necessarily the best source of advice.

So you take the few precious moments you bestow upon us when you opt to 'pop in' upon us all regular OH members to comment on what you proclaim to be the "dumbest post ever." Seriously?? A chubby, fatty like myself would love to know what life is like beyond my belt buckle. (Forgive me-- was that snarky??)

Add value or add nothing.

I've added plenty of value over the years. And again, I will say this one more time for you all so you can understand. I don't care who is fat, skinny, gained or whatever. I am just saying everyone should be treated with compassion, and the people who are the rudest are generally the ones who look like they shouldn't be giving advice. Tough love is what nasty people call it.

I would try the classy thing, but that doesn't go along with how things work around here.

I'm not a "vet", I'm not to my goal weight, I'm only 18 months out from surgery and I'm fighting the good fight to stay on track. I have been here almost daily for 2 years, I use this website as my main source of support. I have no idea who you are. I find absolutely no value in you, your opinion or your posts on this thread.

My BMI may still be "overweight" at 28ish, and I'm still continuing my journey, but I can be supportive, share my experiences and give advice when I've been through something that someone else is going through, or can relate to how they feel.

I took a week away last week as well. I'm honestly not one to stir up any drama, and I try to be nice to everyone, even when they are being idiots, but your posts are really ******g me off. Not for your opinions on how you think people should be treated, but for your insulting people for their weight and their ability to add any type of good advice because of it.

Nik_H, who is admin here, is a long time veteran who has had significant regain and is working to get it off. She gives great advice, and has so much to offer people with her experiences. Your statement that chubby people aren't qualified to give advice is offensive and is an example of what is wrong with our society in general.

I've been staying off of this thread because I don't feel the need to argue my reasons for taking a hiatus in support of my fellow posters, but you've crossed a line and I can't in good conscious just walk by without commenting on how offensive and out of line you are. You talk about people being compassionate and nice, then you throw around all of this nastiness.
