A Brief Statement from The Missing
I literally have never had an issue with anyone here. My post is pretty clear and nothing passive about it. I clearly stated, why are the rudest ones, way more than few, are always the ones who look like they shouldn't be making any comments.
Not sure how you are reading anymore into it than that!?!

Listen, there are some fine lines between what might be considered bullying on a public forum. But FAT SHAMING specific people on an obesity support website???? The line is crossed. Unacceptable. You should be ashamed.

I honestly don't know who are you talking about - "Who wants to hear snarky weight loss advice from someone who is overweight still?"
Can you give us example of those snarky post made by stil overweight vets who are 5+ years post op.?
Maybe your perception of what is overweight is different that most of us? Is it BMi? Or body fat%? Or the belt size?
I am 9 years post op, normal to lean... Yes..At one time I had some regain...But I still had a normal healthy body fat%... I know what caused my regain, so I do advice people to cut the deal out of their diet before it is too late.
Support and compassion does it mean to says.."there there...You'll be fine" sometimes support and compassion means getting in that person face before their behavior would cause more damage.
If you know things than well..How come you are not helping ? Showing real compassion by being on boards and really helping people.

I just returned from a week long trip, myself. I also support this ideal.
I have gotten much help and support here, and when I was doing things wrong was able to be told and corrected. I have always found both invaluble, and I appreciate the time people spent replying. Hala, in particular, saved me months of misery and pain with her help on acid reflux among other things.
Thank you all for your time and help. I am very grateful for it.
I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!

Can I co-sign again?
As someone who the vets firmly and maybe even snarkily told me I was eating incorrectly- at my insane nutritionists advice- and then I stepped back and listened to them.
240 pounds lost later I feel like maybe, just maybe, they have valuable input. And moderation appropriately and accurately for everyone is extremely important.
So co-sign.
