New member- scheduled for Surgery in the morning!!

VSG on 03/02/17

I'm scheduled for gastric sleeve surgery in the morning. Have been waiting for this a long time. Once my PCP gave me the referral, and I saw the specialist, I had to wait 6 months and follow all the requisites of the program. I was 316 lbs at my heaviest weight. I'm 5 ft, 4 inches, 60 years old and have tried everything to lose weight. Could not ever maintain the weight loss. In the 6 months that I have been on the program, I have already made many changes that I believe will help me maintain my weight loss and improve my health. I'm a little anxious because this is my first surgery ever. However, I'm looking forward to returning to the active lifestyle I had before. Want to have many adventures with my husband and our grandchildren!

Congratulations and best of luck tomorrow! My surgery date is 3/23, so I'll be about 2 weeks behind you.....see you on the other side. Keep us posted on your progress ?
