I once spent an evening in the laundry room of a Microtel in Nebraska during a tornado with my dad and our 3 golden retrievers and all the other guests when we were driving cross country. The dogs entertained all the kids (and some adults) and I've never seen weather like that in my life (and hope to never again!). We Californians are so lucky...
