What looks matronly has to go ... now

why r we not talking about shoes? A change in shoes from matronly to hott will totally legitimize and elevate a quality old outfit!

you chose that bandage dress for a reason ( and it might still flatter ! )

yes I love being able to rock super cheap pre teen ( or hooker) stuff ..but honestly am I gonna throw several hundred thousand dollars of well made clothing investment away because I'm a size or three smaller -NOT

just change your heel heights an inch or two higher get a few nice belts ... and experiment !! It's great fun ( and free!! ) to shop your own closet with a "new " body - I was amazed what I had ( and hardly if ever worn) that I'd nearly totally forgotten!

When the shoulder seams are hanging off your shoulders is my barometer.

I saw another indication on myself today: when the side hem of a top hangs lower than the front or back hem, it's too big. It doesn't really work on the wrap you describe, but works well for regular sweaters and tops with what should be straight hems.
