Hi, I am pre op and start my liquid diet in a few days. Now that I have a surgery date everything is starting to sink in and feel real. I will admit that I am excited and extremely nervous at the same time. I've never been put under before. And I don't want to mess up. Looking forward to new beginnings. ????

It was my first surgery too. And I was nervous and don't want to mess this up either! The surgery and the recovery so far wasn't bad at all. Now all I have to worry about is messing up!

Hang in there once you start your pre-op liquids. The first few days can be tough, but you'll make it through. I was also excited and nervous, it was my first time being put under. Don't worry, just focus on what you need to do to get ready and that new beginning will be here before you know it.

Good luck! The last week or two before surgery can be a mental torture, but just talk to someone if you need. It's a big change!

Congratulations! Keep reading and posting on here. There's tons of good info. Fear of failure is a common thread, so you are definitely not alone! But these are exciting times, so don't let doubt overshadow the experience!

It was my first surgery too. I was extremely excited and nervous up until the morning I walked into the hospital. I thought I was going to freak out but I didn't. I was calm and at peace. That was the moment I knew 100% that I had made the right decision.

Congrats on your upcoming surgery and good luck! Let us know how it goes.
