White Dove, I have one of those scales too but what I don't know is what is a good percentage of water weight? 

Over 100 lbs lost! and 13 lbs below goal weight!

The weight gain is definitely due to the IV.  I am 16 years post op and still have problems drinking enough water, but I don't get dehydrated like a newly post op.   However, to help me stay on track with water intake, I have used various alarms for reminders and keep my bottles of water frozen (since I like cold, cold water) to help me stay on track.  I have a friend who got me a Hydro Flask for my birthday and that has been a life saver as well.   

Being this early out, the only thing you really need to focus on is keeping your fluids up.  Once you are able to do that, you will be fine.  But, as for the weight gain you have experienced now, it will come off fairly quickly just stick to your post op diet.
