Any one have WLS over the age of 60.

I was 60 when I had RNY.  I initially wanted the sleeve but I already had GERD and the surgeon said the sleeve would make it worse.  I actually don't have a lot of dumping and had no issues with recovery.  My medications have remained the same except I no longer have high blood pressure, high cholesterol and my diabetes is all gone.  They had to repair a rather large hiatial  hernia at the same time.  I have not regretted it in the 3 years since!!

Everyone has given you great advice....  All I can add is if I had not had the surgery I would not have seen 60  Good luck to you and keep us updated on how you are doing.
