What was your "light bulb moment"?
Life events can be eye opening. You can't go back, and the rebellion during the teen years is part of us becoming an individual, an adult separate from out parents.
Love her now.

Well, we are even, because you totally made me cry reading it.
As Deb said, there's something about Mama-Love. I have never loved anything or anyone the way I love my son. He even helped me to love myself more. I'd like to think that kind of love for our children is the legacy our mothers gave to us. How lucky you get to see your legacy passed to your grand babies.

"I pulled her aside and asked her if she was still happy she had done it and she said Absolutely! The light bulb moment came when she asked me what I was afraid of? I said I didn't know... her response - which was the absolute truth- You need to get out of your head and stop thinking so hard. I had allowed overthinking and analyzing to immobilize me."
this is has been me in so many ways! This was very moving and sweet to read on many levels. Thanks for writing it and putting it out there.
btw, I had surgery a couple of weeks ago on my Achilles--so with all that has gone on with that, I have not been on OH regularly--and it seems like so many people are gone! Not you at least. :). I hope people will be back. I feel like people here are my friends.
