It Friday ..let's ***** about life after we had WLS.. what don't you like about it?
The title says is all..
There are so many things we can be grateful about WLS... but there si also the other side... taht makes us cringe when someone tells you - "you chose the easy way" or "it is so easy for you - you are skinny"
what is that THEY don't know?
here are a few of mine.
- i have to be careful what I eat and how much... like really really careful.
- my butt hurts if I sit for a long time... or even a short time on a hard surface
- I have to supplement vitamins and minerals. It is no longer na option not to.
- even if I supplement as I was told - I still may end up with deficiencies and bone issues...
- since we are on the subject - yearly detailed lab work are a must. Most of us need them more than 1 time a year.
- I probably woudl need iron infusions once in a while for the rest of my life
- I have to take a lot of miralax to poop. and magnesium.
- I now have hemorrhoids
- I lost my GB, plus had a few internal hernias..
- I have changes in my pancreas.
- I have food allergies and intolerances
- I am a dumper and I can get severe RH..
- I can't take NSAIDS for pain.
- I am a difficult"guest" at parties...(because of my food allergies)
- I am on a diet for the rest of my life... or else
there can be more... I can stop right here...
so..when you ***** about you life post op WLS....what comes to mind?

I thought the pain I wasa having in my lower back but not exactly on the spine but off the center this was related to a herniated disk I have in my lower back. I HAD NO IDEA that this pain/tenderness could be sacroiliac joint pain!
Where excactly does this cause pain? It looks like the area on the hip just right and left of the spine on the hip bone. Is this correct?

Mine is a deep ache not exactly at my lower back but not really my hip either. It's more if I went straight through my flesh to the joint between hip and low back. I thought it was sciatica at first.

He needs to get used to it... fortunately my partner is so understanding... even when we go out to eat - I may eat or not eat.... just because...
sometimes we eat together... but both - the timing and what I can eat varies...
