It's Friday, Let's Have Some Fun!

Each person puts $10 in the bunko pot.  The pot is split between the one with the most winning games and the person with the most bunkos.  It works really well and it's only $10 per month.  We have a limit of 16 people, so last time I won for most bunkos, I got $80!!!!

I have never played bunko but spoons is a long standing tradition with my group. I have played it every New Year's Day since I was about 16 years old. A bunch from my youth group would get together every New Years and play around the dining room table at my pastors house. We would have to double up decks of cards because we had so many people when the game started.  We had to make a rule of no jewelry or long nails. Yes I have been scratched open and have drawn blood of my friends when grabbing for a spoon. Now as an adult I still have a handful of my friends that are all able to still do New Year's Day together and we have continued the tradition with our families and kids. Love that game. 

  I think I will wear my bike helmet if I play spoons!

Maybe invest in some leather gloves! Lol 

I like playing dominoes. It was kinda fun guessing who had what kind of hand based on what they'd put out. I especially liked forcing someone to play a side of the board they were trying to avoid. I never played for points. It totally ticked off my friend that I wouldn't slam down my last domino, but just quietly slid it into place & said Domino. lol 

Our family game is Canasta. Great for the kids to learn simple math and very competitive for the adults!
