Fabulous!!

So there's a guy in our neighborhood with a big smoker who has offered to smoke some meat.  He's got his smoker open tomorrow for the price of donating for woodchips.   Trying to decide what to have him smoke for us.  I love beef ribs, but don't know if I will be able to find them at the store this time of year.

How is smoked whole chicken?  Does it come out dry?  Should I take a chuck roast over? Maybe smoked chuck roast + bbq sauce for pulled beef?  (or should I get a beef brisket??)

So I stopped by our "local" (35 miles away) restaurant supply store and bought some items for the smoker. I bought st Louis ribs, pork butts, pork loin, an entire beef ball tip and a corned beef brisket. All told I bought 70 some odd pounds of meat, 5 pounds of peppercrack cheese and 10 Anaheim peppers for $160. The meat was anywhere from  $1.18- $3.64 per pound. This carnivore family will be quite happy!
