Kitchen gadgets that no longer get love?

Happyteacher's post gave me an idea..

What kitchen gadgets get no love in your post-op life?

For me, it's the toaster oven.  I've had one since college in 1995 and it's this big thing that can do 4-6 slices of toast at once and when I recently updated my kitchen I thought to myself, "Self, why do you have this big ass toaster oven taking up all this counter real estate when you DON'T EAT TOAST?!"  So I tossed it and bought the teeniest toaster oven ever which can barely toast two pieces of bread at a time, or one single slice of pizza, because the other people in my house occasionally want to be able to do those things.  It's teeny.  I love it.

For me my DH and I use our toaster oven a lot as we both had RNY and eat those smaller portions. We have a lot of counter space. I donated any of those "had to have" hand gagets from Pampered Chef.

What do you use the toaster oven for?  I feel like there must be some application I'm missing. I tend to use the nuker for leftovers.

I kept my toaster over for some leftovers to keep some foods crispy. You know how some stuff gets little soft after its been in the fridge, the oven helps it get a little crispy when you don't want to use your regular oven, at least that's what I do sometimes.

Still haven't gotten into my head that its ok just to throw food away.

A really old decrepit feral tomcat started sleeping on my porch ( he's so dirty he literally leaves marks but that's another story)

so rather than throw away leftover food I clean out my fridge and leave it for him. Hell eat ANYTHING literally- rice and beans , rotisserie chicken grease , old cold cuts and cheese even bread

and I don't have to feel guilty for not eating my leftovers when people are going hungry lol

My toaster oven (A Breville made in Australia) is just the right size to bake a small Uno's deep dish pizza that we get 3 meals a piece from. Yes, we eat carbs in small quantities. There are many healthy appetizers that you can get from the store like bacon wrapped scallops, skewered shrimp, skewered chicken. On occasion we will share and treat ourselves to Chicken Kiev and popcorn chicken or shrimp. I make an English muffin almost every morning when I fry myself an egg.

It is by far less expensive to heat the toaster oven than the big electric wall oven especially since both of us eat like a bird. I pretty much only use the toast and bake functions on my toaster oven. It has a broil setting but I do not feel like cleaning up the inside of it. Hope this helps.

Rice cooker!! It gets no love.

kitchen aid mixer doesn't get much action either, although I'm waiting for the spiralizer attachment to go on sale, I'll prob use it more then. But if not, it might get moved to storage.
