6 days post op & hungryyy
So I am 6 days post op from a vsg & I am physically hurt g from hunger. My doctors has me on 4oz of clear liquid Every hour for the first 2 weeks. I called the office to see if I can advance too full liquids bc I am just so hungry and they said no. That I must be healing faster than normal but I still just need to do clear liquids Any advice for how i can try to curb the hunger ? Idk how I'm going to last 8 more days like this :(
acid can mimic hunger... it is probably healing pangs and acid...

Part of it might be acid. Part might be your head. Just hunker down and get through these last few days. You can do this!!!!

Definitely take your antacid pills and drink as much water, and other liquids as you can to stay hydrated. Do not drink anything sugary if you can, that normally will make you feel hunger faster. Try to drink some chicken broth for example.

They didn't give me any antiacid pills. Should I be taking any ? I am taking in alot of sugar. Plain water makes me extremely nauseous which is weird since I mostly only drank water before. Doctor also took away apple juice bc it was giving me gas. So I'm just left with coconu****er & gatorade as other options. Could it be that those are the only drinks I'm consuming ?

Why are you drinking sugared drinks? Is that what your plan has you doing?
I cannot imagine. Of course you are hungry -- you're releasing insulin to deal with all that sugar. Insulin will make you feel starved.
I cannot drink coconu****er or gatorade at THREE YEARS OUT. I never ever drink juice. Can you have broth, crystal light/mio instead?
