What products help your hair?

So, my hair is falling out. It was already falling out before this surgery, because I was taking Diamox. But now it's falling out even more. My hair is very straight, oily, and fine. I used to have very thick hair, but over the years, it has thinned out. It started happening when I started taking Diamox (a very strong diuretic used to treat Pseudotumor cerebri). I can only wash my hair twice a week, because it falls out even more when I wa**** It's so thin and oily that I have to wear it in a ponytail 5 times each week. My hair has absolutely no volume.

What hair products have made significant change in the thickness of your hair?

I used to use Nioxin, but they sold the company to someone else, and the ingredients are no longer the same.

Have you tried Batiste Hint of Color Dry Shampoo? It should help with the oiliness, as well as add a little bulk and color to make your hair look thicker.

I actually own some, but it doesn't do much for me. It does smell awesome, though!

I haven't. Do you use that? I just looked at Before and After pictures on Monat. It looks like it works for others.

Biotin is what I took when I felt like it was never going to stop coming out.  However do be aware that hair will grow everywhere not just on your head.  I took Biotin for about a month while I was having the most amount of issues.  I think it helped but at the same time my weight loss slowed down and I was able to eat a lot more protein after month 4 and I think that helped the most.

I actually use Biotin every day. I've been using it for about 3 months now. I'm not sure if it's doing anything. But who knows... it's probably keeping me from going completely bald.

This is telogen effluvium. Nothing you can do will stop it. You are halway through the hair falling out period. It will be over soon, and start growing back.

Be careful of taking too much biotin. Many experience hair growing everywhere but their heads. We've had a bunch of members get jobs at the circus from biotin. But sadly, the circus is closing.

Lol! My leg hair and nails really did start growing when I took biotin chewables!  I like the way the head hair grows in thick so it kind of poofs the broken off hair out at the roots .

Layered haircuts work great to promote an illusion of lush hair till it grows out ( and it will in a few months , often curlier.
