I liked Hacksaw Ridge and Hell or High Water; I haven't seen the others. Hell or High Water was good, but I do not think it was Best Picture material. I thought Hacksaw Ridge told a great story without veering into the standard war movie rut.
I haven't seen La La Land. It doesn't seem that interesting. I would really like to see Hidden Figures, though. That seems interesting.
I think mostly everyone will choose fairly conservative and traditional gowns. One or two will be outré, a few will be full on WTF, but mostly we can expect the same 'ol dresses we see every year.

I haven't seen any of these movies. I've gotten real bad at seeing movies lately, plus I usually like horror movies & sci-fy. I hardy think the last Resident Evil movie would get a nomination. lol

Thank god for you post. I was like... I've not saw one of these LOL. I second your vote for Res Evil, but not the last one, I like the first one best.

So luv horror & sci-fi, I kept hearing about La La Land & I'm like what is the big deal about this movie again?
Hell I haven't seen some of the Oscar nominated movies from last year or the year b4 & I'm sure they're on Netflix by now.
