There was a weigh****chers ad not that long ago that had "if you're happy and you know it eat a snack.." and then went through lots of other emotions.  I was never a "sad" eater, I was an "all the emotions" eater - just like you.  It's been hard to disconnect that.

I also got into trouble, when my dad's health was declining and I was making more car trips, with the "association between the car and eating."  I think I've pretty much broken that now, but it really wrecked me.

I so relate to you.  Car eating has been REALLY hard to break for me, too.  I think I've shared with you that grief without using my best coping device, was very difficult to navigate.  Like you, I miss my dad every. single. day.  It's hard not to go to my best way of stuffing those feelings down without stuffing my face.

Love to you.  You are doing this -- we both are.

BTW -- I really detest WW.  Just saying.

I detest WW too - but I thought the ad was clever and I totally related to it.

We ARE doing this.  And grief is hard.  I'm going to a weekly bereavement group and every friday, on the way home, it's a fight not to stop somewhere and buy food to shove in my face.  :/

What an interesting topic!

Eating real meals early in the day works for me as does any excercise if I can get myself to do . I used to walk and graze on my lunch hour - really calmed the bored urge to snack down.
