How do you find your Zen place?

Keeping my hands busy definitely helps. I remember when I was a kid in camp we had those plastic strings that we fold over and make beaded keychains that were square shaped etc. I just needed to keep my mind off the bs at work.

Thanks everybody!, will definitely try some of the ideas posted. Right now staring at some pictures on my laptop from my last trip to Orlando calms me down. Love looking at scenic views, especially when there really is no kind of view to see at work. 

I am soooo thinking of getting one of those dolls to put on top of my computer, & stick a pin in it. lol

Tell you what- i will send you a doll that looks exactly like my boss so you have something to stick pins in. I am helpful that way!

Zen ROFL, I don't seem to be able to do zen.  My hubs always says I'm never zen.  Trying to meditate is like some weird torture.  So I go get active.  I love doing things that are new, unexpected, and high energy.  I am not "calm" during those times but I'm focused and feel very settled.

Meditation and exercise- especially long walks outside in the woods or other nature type areas.

Yoga has helped me so much with stress.  I'm even a better wife, thanks to meditation.  I'm more inclined now to say it's not worth the argument, I don't need to be right, let him make his own mistakes, stop mothering him.

Referral to Guelph Feb/13, Sleep study and all bloodwork and ultrasound May/13, orientation July/13. Nurse, NUT,SW Sept/13, 2nd NUT, nurse and SW, 3rd round and cleared for surgery Dec/13. Pre-op Apr 7/14, Surgeon May 2/14, Opti Jul 3/14, surgery Jul 17/14.
