How do you find your Zen place?
So in the age of not using food for comfort, what techniques do you use to calm down when in your head you want to punch your bosses lights out?
I hate some of the nonsense on my job, especially when management outright lies/twists the truth so they don't look stupid in front of their boss. Frankly the nonsense was enough to screw with my sleep & I hardly let nonsense bug me like that.
So how do you calm down & find your Zen place?

Running and yoga help me a lot. Singing can also work.
But... yeah. It's hard these days, I've got too many things going on.

I get in the car with my music (usually classic rock like Boston or Heart) cranked up to nose bleed level.... and I drive.... with no particular destination. I sing at the top of my lungs , chair dance, and do lots of hand motions (like drumming to Phil Collin's "In the Air Tonight") LOL!
Works for me!

I'm so thinking of getting a puppy, but I'd feel guilty leaving him alone with my 2 cats. I was thinking of maybe getting a shelter dog, that has been in a house with cats, but again, I'd hate to leave him alone while I'm at work. I live in an apartment, but there is this guy that walks a dog for his neighbor friend, maybe he'd do the same for me. I so want to go on a road trip & bring a dog along for the ride.
Definitely when I retire though, I'll get a dog.
