Thank you, Roxy.  She was so unhappy with her weight gain and had not too long before had a major infection (required hospitalization and almost died) from mesh to repair a hernia so what consoled me was to know that she was doing what she had to do. I went into a severe depression (other major life issues were occurring as well) but with the help of an awesome psychologist, medication and hard work I rebounded. Over the years so many advances have been made in bariatric surgery and my physical health was going down hill to the point I had no other choice but to go for it.  It is the best thing I ever did. She would be proud of me.
