Am I creepy or what?!
I still try to hoard food! Don't touch my leftovers!!! Even if I never eat them, they are still there in case I want them. Yesterday at the softball park I saw everybody eating breakfast tacos. I felt panicky and kept looking at people eating them and sizing them up (the tacos, not desperate enough to fight..yet). I was trying to judge them to see if maybe they were worth the cheat. I couldn't take it any more so I went to the concession stand and bought 2...one for me and one for my husband who never even asked for one. I brought the tacos back to where I was sitting and set them down beside me. I thought why did I do that? I didn't even really want to eat it. I felt better knowing they were there! I ended up giving them away! Later on my husband wanted something to eat from the concession stand so I volunteered to go get him something. I got him chili cheese nachos and watched him eat them. He offered me some and I refused. I'm sure I was creeping him out just staring . Then I realized I was probably creeping people out earlier by watching them eat tacos!! Ugh I feel like a drug addict except with food! I never cheated though!!
One day at a time!

Ever had a dog stare at you while you were eating something? You know, head tilted one way, then the other, ready to pounce? It's like that.

OMG - watching that would be like torture for me (nothing I used to love more than DD Boston cream donuts)!

As a horrible side note they make the Bostons in munchkins now. Just buy 1 or 2 munchkins get your fix without having to think about the whole doughnut. Even as a DSr, Im not a huge eater, but when I get that "craving" for a doughnut, I buy a munchkin or 2. It doesnt kill me, bites the craving and life is good. :)

Well I guess if you "just like to watch" no harm...no foul - but maybe get some really dark sunglasses
I have a DS pal who needs to have junk food in the house at all times...just to look at it, like a set of good china, then tosses it & replaces it with fresh. She says she just needs to know it is there. Never touches it. It seems to work for her - she is going on to 7 years out from surgery and is 15 lbs. lower than her honeymoon weight...so I think you might be onto something there.
This would be such a slippery slope for me... But I also know ex-smokers who still have a pack just sitting around... a pack they bought when they decided to quit, and just never opened... Those things would have been smoked if they were mine when I was quitting!!! LOL
I end up throwing away snacks, that, at first, I can resist, but if someone doesn't eat them, they eventually go in the trash - like the package of Oreo's... I literally opened them up and smelled them before I dumped them into the trash!
