I feel your pain.  I am a little taller, and even when I was thinner, I have always had broad shoulders, short little legs, and a very long torso - sort of like a troll or something.  Finding things to fit is nigh on impossible.

That's exactly how I'm shaped!! I'm all torso. I prefer "penguinesque" to troll . People hate sitting behind me in theaters...

I'm the shorter version of you!

LittleBillJr maybe we need to start a business to cater to all those that don't fit what is available to the masses. I still get so mad at the fashion industry's sizes

Custom work.  I've been doing that for almost 24 years in wood.  I suppose I could make some very nice barrels for people to wear.

Hi, just wanted to suggest you check out GAP and Old Navy on line they sell women's tall sizes. The sleeves and length of body are longer.  Just a suggestion.  Good luck

Thanks KT! When I get down in weight again, I'll check them out. Thank heavens for online shopping. Otherwise I'd have to learn to sew or walk around wrapped in a sheet.

I have a double fear of clothes shops. First is being fat now. Second is being 6' tall with shoulders worthy of a linebacker.  Even thin, I would feel like a lot of stores weren't meant for me.  At my goal weight I was still an XL on top and 12 on the bottom, with wrists and ankles and belly poking out of clothes that just aren't long enough. I'm that person who stumbles across something that actually fits and buys it in every color they make or even multiples of the same color in case they stop making it and I have to start the search all over again. Case in point, I think I have about 10 of the shirts I'm wearing in my avatar.

My wish would be to outsource the frustration and hire a stylist/personal shopper who knows what stores and brands would fit me and just brings stuff to me to pick from so I don't have to shop at all!

I have the opposite problem. I'm 5'7" and my 5' sweetie has longer legs than I do! I have a 27" inseam with a short waist. I feel your pain.
