What are your routine/s to start the day?
It sounds like a cliche but it's true how you eat, start your day sets the tone. Do you get up and eat right away? Do you have a routine? What helps get you started for a great eating day?
I am old, I stretch.
Take my liquid iron with a little orange juice.
If it's nice out I go for a walk.
Start with the warm lemon water, yep it's real. And a cup of hot tea. Big Yeti cup of water.
High protein, low carb breakfast.
Some of my favs, are 2 egg omelet with salsa, scrambled eggs with onions, peppers and mushrooms. Steal cut oats with fresh fruit.
I promise you if you eat right (no matter where you are on your journey) and "move" it will help you make the right choices for the rest of the day.
What works for you?

Wake up, stumble around, find the coffee pot, pour myself a cup, take a sip, feel all is right with world..wake up my boys for school and get them out the door and to school killing a bottle of water and a yogurt smoothie type drink on the way, come home...
coffee
coffee
coffee
and then lunch around 11.
My pouch isn't fond of solid food first thing in the morning, but if I wait until 11 to start with protein, I'll be in trouble, so I dump cashew milk, plain Greek yogurt, and protein powder in a shaker bottle and have that for breakfast.
I woke up in between a memory and a dream...

10+ years post op, living & loving life!
This is basically my schedule, though I use coconut cream in my coffee ;)
I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!
