My first stall - with weight gain!

In need of some reassurance.  3 weeks post op VSG.  Lost 20 in first two weeks, then hit a stall for the last week.  I was prepared for that.  What I wasn't prepared for was a 2 pound weight gain this morning.  Has this happened to anyone else???? I'm focused on fluids and protein and have been sticking to the plan, but this was demoralizing.

Don't let it get you down, it can happen.  This is why they tell you not to weigh every day, because all kinds of things will affect it.  Is it that time of month and you're retaining water?  If you've hit a stall (my first stall at 3 weeks lasted a month!), then you're body is hanging on to everything it gets because it's readjusting.  Hang in there and stop focusing so much on the scale.  Keep doing what you have been, stick to your plan, and stay away from that scale no more than once a week--if you have to.

For your own sanity, please don't sweat the short term fluctuations. Weight loss isn't linear. You will have more daily ups and downs and stay the sames than you can count.

I'm almost 7 weeks post op and I hit my stall at about 3 weeks and it lasted aprox 1 week.  I gained and lost the same 2 pounds during that week.  I followed the plan, made sure I hit my water and protein targets too.  It happens and you will start to drop again.

I am at goal and below... At 140 lbs I can "gain" or " lose " 3 lbs in any 24 hours.

It can be water, BM , more carbs, less carbs, more salt, less salt...Etc etc etc...
