Omg yes! There are some people that will eat Oreos and think it's okay because they are vegan. We are very careful of what we eat. Just lack of a thyroid and crohns is what's getting me...I'm also so nervous tomorrow's my last appointment before they schedule my surgery date

That's so funny! I was thinking of Oreo's too! I think they're the poster child for "bad vegan" choices. My thyroid is overactive so I'm medicated to slow it down (one of the few fat hyperthyroid people - lucky me who could eat more than my metabolism increased). Do you feel like they give you enough thyroid hormone? Sometimes endos get so caught up in the numbers being "normal", they don't look at how you feel or function.

I just had my last appt before surgery so I totally get the nervous feelings!

We try to stay as plant based as possible!! No "bad vegans" in this house! We watch carbs and protein and stay level on vitamins and all that good stuff. I get blood work done by 2 different doctors for my levels. I see the endo on the 23rd so I'll be getting more bloodwork done. I've been really tired lately, not sure if it's this Pa weather getting to me. My levels could also be off. My crohns doctor just started me on b-12 shots to be safe as well. My plant based protein shakes have 20 grams in them and I try to drink as much water as possible.  I also eat small meals or snacks throughout the day so I don't make myself sick. When I say snacks it's some sort of nuts or fruit or veggies.

Im just waiting for the call to schedule my actual appointment
