Sigh Dee   Sadly you must have not lost much if anything or you would have remembered.  I am so glad those crazy days are OVER!

I'm sure you're right!  And, yes.  Thank God those days are OVER!!!! 

So Many....what to choose!!!

Cabbage soup and DEXATRIM, the original formulation--bad, so bad.

I kinda felt bad for the company that made Ayds--such an unfortunate name choice for them.

You are right I had not thought of the name.  I forgot about Dexatrim!  WE are free Pat, we are free Pat!  

My mother started me dieting when I was 10 yo. I'm sure I have her to thank for my unhealthy relationship ship with food and dieting. She started me on Diet Center diet. Highly restrictive and very hard for a kid. I snuck pbandj every night. That was a fail. She also had me on a medically supervised all shake diet, optifast or medifast something like that. 9 months, no food. I lost. And gained it all back times 3.  At one point she had me on a blood type diet where I only ate certain colors of good, hot dogs and beets. That one was short lived. 

This makes me sad this happened to you.  Never again ddkVSG!

I believe Ayds changed their name to Diet Ayds, after the tragic AIDS crisis or maybe  to something less negative sounding like "Ebola".

Their marketing slogans for their product sounded horrible.after the epidemic started and not much better with the word Diet in front of the name.

I remember that, they diet candy (not a good choice anyhow) never recovered.....
