O.A.
I go to OA meetings twice a week. I work the steps. I text. It is very spiritual for me. I am a food addict. Always will be. When others truly understand my crazy food thinking I feel less alone in this craziness. I take what resonates with me and leave the rest. My guts were rearranged. It's all about the head now.

IMO: Whatever we need to do to get our heads in the right place is the right thing to do. OA, OH, private therapist, surgery center support groups, BFFs,... Whatever works!

I chose the therapy route but good for you for recognizing that there is A LOT more to weight loss than the physical... in fact IMHO the neck up stuff is the MOST IMPORTANT... 9 times out of 10 people don't need those pouch test/fad diets they need therapy.
Another resource besides OA is Smart Recovery http://www.smartrecovery.org/ some pals that have issues with the higher power tone of OA have found that program more for them.
Best to you!
Am I the only one that saw OA and thought of a totally different OA? I need to watch less Netflix!
