I had a ferritin 2... and I faithfully take vitamins and eat a super varied diet... I had 2 rounds of iron infusions and have been fine for over a year... it just is something I will have to deal with and watch. I am a RNYer though so you PCP was right to send you for a check... ulcer maybe?
Make an appt with a Hematologist and ask them about www.injectafer.com way better than old school infusions, super quick and better delivery system, less side effects too.
Just another thing... I see your handle... ready for plastics... whatever you do... don't until your iron issue is resolved.
