What you wish you knew before surgery.
I wish I knew the "pouch" feelings between the band and bypass would be so vastly different. My band full is not any thing like my bypass pouch feelings, looking back at ounces per meal...
I wish I knew that not everyone develops food/taste aversions or feels overly stuffed after 2oz.
I wish I had realized how difficult it would be to NOT compare journeys...
Transfer addiction is a real thing. Mine was clothes shopping (and, really, just shopping in general). Finding a healthy outlet is key. Don't rack up a bunch of debt like I did. =(

Mine is Projects!! I love Pinterest and my son hates Pinterest!! lol But he end up loving what we have done! Next on the list, is a narrow table/ledge to go around my couch, back and one side. My living room is long and narrow so this will work great for extra space to put a lamp, rest a book etc.
To Thine Own Self Be True!!
Both your 1 and 2 are seriously solid.
For me I think the power that food had on me before I got my head on straight is at this time almost amusing. I can honestly say it took work to make myself that fat and stay that fat. After getting things right in my world I'm not sure how I had a vinte Frap with scones for breakfast, giant dish of past for lunch, chips and candy bars for snacks, and then came home to order pizza with cheese sticks and chicken wings. Everyday for me was a feast of bad ideas. So something that I wish I'd known was how totally unrealistic that life style is. It's easier looking back but I'm just less than a year out so I hope that's how I can keep that life style... in the rearview mirror. I'm still working on trusting myself.
