How many stalls have you had?
Rogaine will do nothing for telogen effluvium.

Worked for me when I started losing hair after the band.
Time worked. The rogaine was a red herring.

I'll be your lab rat... I have been using Rogaine for years because of PCOS related hair loss. It literally gave me my hair back and I intend to use it forever (since you have to to keep the hair it regrows). I also historically lose a boatload of hair whenever I lose weight unfortunately. This will be the first time I've ever lost weight while already using Rogaine. My surgery is next month. I'll let you know what happens. I'm not worked up about it, because I know it'll come back, but it will be interesting to see if it makes any difference.
Sadly, yes.

That also happens with me. I will be frustrated bc the number on the scale has been within a 1 or 2 lbs difference, so I wont weigh for a few days. The past time I did that I had lost 4 lbs in 4 days. WEIRD! But I am pretty sure it had to do with being a little backed up. I was able to "go" a little better the past week so thats probably what got me down to where I am now. LOL. I kept moving the scale around just to make sure. Then I came back from work and stripped clothes off a couple pieces at a time to make sure the scale wasn't lying to me. Sure enough. My clothes weighed 3 lbs and when naked, I was 216. I do NOT look 216. Nobody believes me!!! HAHA

I weighed almost 400 lbs, and i was slow as molasses. I was constantly behind the crowd for the first six months or so. Yet I've lost 100% of my excess weight and am at a normal BMI. Success has a lot more to do with hard work and commitment rather than your rate of weight loss. And you're right - there are so many factors that influence that - age, gender, starting BMI, metabolism rate, how much muscle mass you have, whether or not you lost a lot of weight pre-surgery, etc. It's sort of pointless to compare yourself to other people, since everyone's different. Just stay on top of things and really work at it, and the weight will come off.
WOW! Congratulations on your hard work! Very proud of you! How do you feel? :)
As far as factors; I am 25, female, starting BMI was about 46, metabolism rate is usually fast when I make the effort in dieting (which I'm doing), muscle mass is lacking (specifically in my legs), and I lost 9 pounds pre-surgery.
I will stay on top of things. I'm going back to the gym tomorrow night. :)
