How many stalls have you had?

I've had about 5 stalls since my surgery, on August 4th of last year. It's a bit discouraging, but I haven't gained any weight, so I'm happy about that. How many stalls have you had so far?

I had 1 MAJOR road block during my 200 pound weight loss.  I ate perfectly and worked out like a monster.....  When I was about 50 pounds from my surgeon's goal weight I stopped losing for 9 weeks.    Yes, you read that right 9 weeks. I almost lost my mind.  I changed up my eating and exercising and KNEW I was doing all the right things and just took it one day at a time.  Once I started losing again it never stopped.

If you are not doing so, track every bite you are putting in your mouth and drinks too.  Amounts as well as what.  Take your log to the nutritionist in your surgeon's office and they can help you make some changes.  Change up your eating and exercise to give your body a shock, it helps.

Congratulations on your surgery and as long as you know you are doing all the right things it will happen.  We know from years of dieting our bodies fight us tooth and nail when it comes to losing.

LOL! What a cute picture! Thank you!

So far, this stall has lasted for about a week and a half. I'm doing everything correctly, except exercising as much. I walk 2-3 times per day, but I'm not doing enough I guess. I am going to the gym tomorrow night, so hopefully I'll get over this stall.

2-3 miles per day* not times, lmao. Oh man that would be awful... XD

btw - a week and a half stall isn't a huge deal - you'll go through some that are much longer.

I think I only had two stalls until I got down to around 200 lbs (most people seem to have way more than that, though).  Since then, though, it's been a struggle.  I seem to stall out at least once a month.  But that's probably typical the closer you get to goal.  Those last few pounds can be a bear to lose.

My goal is 120. Some say that's too small, but I'm barely 5'2''. I was losing so quickly the first 4 months. Now it's already slowing down. :/

Surgery isn't magic. We get a bit spoiled in the first month or so with quick loss, but after that it's slow and steady all the way to goal.

Yeah, I know. You're right; I was so spoiled during the first 3-4 months. I have about 60 more pounds until I feel like I'm at my goal, so it worries me that I won't be there as soon as I hoped. But, I'm glad I'm no longer in the 200's, so I shouldn't be complaining. :)

Our start weight is about the same. I lost quickly in the beginning and now I am losing about 5lbs per months. Keep at it and it will happen.

I'm in the same boat with you i had sleeve done In July and have lost 67 lbs but unable to exercise at this time due to needing hip replacement. I need some recipes or a food planner to know what to eat. Wish there was a diet plan for weight loss surgery pts. I really don't know what to eat i know low carb high protein diet but i guess i need something more structured if you have any thoughts on this please let me know thanks sherry
