I love my salt. I have about 47 salt shakers in my house. Some foods are just salt delivery vehicles.

After passing out or almost passing out because my BP bottomed out - because I was not getting enough salt in my diet - I now make sure I add not only sodium but also potassium salt to my food.

Post op WLS- most of us eat smaller portions and some of the food I eat is very low sodium +- yogurt, protein shakes, home cooked meals..Etc. Even RTE meals - I only can eat small serving - not much salt there...

I had cut out adding salt before surgery but then after surgery, I was eating too healthy!  My legs ached constantly and that was because I needed more sodium!!

You might consider drinking something like Gatorade instead.

Only kidding about adding salt to my shake but I have been drinking this electrolyte drink. Can't stand Gatorade or any of those sport drinks.

I have to be liberal with the salt, otherwise my BP goes too low. I love salt, so it's not a problem.
