What rule(s) do you not follow?

I probably break bunches of rules, but most of the ones I break have been after discussion with the the people at my doctor's office. NONE OF THIS is medical advice. I am not a doctor! I am a relatively anonymous person on the internet.
For example:
You must never take NSAIDS again! Well, except if you have a sleeve, you can take them intermittently - just not every day. And make sure you take them with food. Done and done.
You must never smoke again! This one caused a bit of an uproar with the one nurse who was an anti smoking Nazi. After a conversation with my surgeon, his pronouncement was this - "Officially, you need to quit. Unofficially, for the amount you smoke (pipe or cigar once or twice a week) you will be fine. Just make sure you are all healed up, and don't tell me you're doing it."
You must never drink within 30 minutes before or after eating! After doing a bunch of reading, and some careful experimentation, I have discovered that I can drink up to within a few minutes before eating. I am religious about not drinking for 30 minutes after. That causes uncomfortable things to happen.
You must never wear white after Labor Day! I flaunt this one without even asking! I'm a rebel that way.
Rules are there for our good. It is always a wise idea to get to know them and why they are there before you start to bend or break them. And when you do break them, make sure you know both why you are breaking them, and what the possible consequences can be.
I LOL at the smoking thing. I have smoked "socially" for years. And by that, I mean a 1/2 pack over the course of 8 or 10 months, or a cigar like twice a year. Somewhere along the line, this got put into my medical record as being a "former smoker". So anytime I see a new doc, I have to explain what "former smoker" means in my case. They ALL roll their eyes and say I got more damage to my lungs and DNA on a vacation to L.A. than what I inhaled from tobacco products in a year.

LittleBill, I swear, I love you. You make me smile and laugh so much.
My mom smokes, so hopefully she will find a vape that she likes. I hate the smoking... It makes me feel sick and just awful. So, I'm going to tell her it's absolutely against the rules. [feels sneaky]
LMAO!!! I break the Labor Day rule, as well. Yay for our rebellion!

You know, I am wearing my hat in my avatar in December. It isn't pure white, but then neither am I.

Hello Emardee! I am glad to see you here. I was just thinking of you a couple of days ago. I got all my ingredients for the protein brownies. The bananas at the store were so green you could pound nails into wood with them, so I bought some canned pumpkin to substitute. Then I bought a muffin tin, and forgot it at the store, so I had to go back. But I am getting closer. I even wrote a story about the tin. I will post it up in the off topic section. But now I can write you here instead of the other place.
