Cellulite... Inquring minds need to know!

So... I've lost a lot of weight... I've started strength training (ie, working out, but it sounds so much more intense when you say it that way), and I'm very happy with the progress I've made thus far (8 months out)...

So... I look in the mirror, and the cellulite has definitely diminished greatly over the months, but this morning my husband and I were (OK, this is funny and weird all at the same time), were comparing our butts in the mirror... if I squeeze my butt cheeks, my bottom rises up and sticks out and looks great... his butt clenches down and goes flat (are you laughing yet?!)... BUT.... when I squeeze, and everything rises up and looks great in underwear... the cellulite increases exponentially! So it's a great lifted butt... with way too many dimples!

My thighs still have some dimples as well...

I know I'm not a goal, still technically in the overweight category (6 more lbs), and not done at all with this journey (really, none of us are)... but when will the bumpy cratered look go away??? DOES it go away? Ugh... I hate having cellulite!

So, for those of you at goal... or happy with where you are... is the freaking cellulite gone???

I think when cellulite moves in, it's here to stay!

I'm not yet to the losing side of my journey, but I will say I've always found it rather fascinating (and annoying!) to see where cellulite decides it will go.  Mine likes to camp out in my thighs and arms....and after I had my son it likes to hang out in my tummy area.  Ah well...he is worth it

I'm curious to see which part of me deflates first!

Oh I'm not sure what can get rid of cellulite. You might be able to mask the appearance of it a little bit, but it never fully goes away. Maybe weight training & toning can help?

Try cross posting on the exercise forum, & the diet & nutrition forum maybe someone over there can help, or use the search feature, magnifying glass in upper right hand corner. I'm sure this subject has been asked b4, I just can't remember any answers.

Back in the caveman days when I was an anorexic teenager, I was about 5 lbs. under the lowest weight I should have been and yes...I had the cellulite.

Love it, it is part of you, not going anywhere.  (Should have taken a vid of the butt flexing, shared with the class)

I am tired and scrolling through the posts. I thought your subject line said "Celibate...Inquiring minds need to know!!" And I thought, why on Earth does she need to know that???

I am sure if you go to a Plastic Surgeon there is some kind of treatment for cellulite...but what you can do yourself? Probably nothing...
