My surgery was 8/23/16 so I've hit a few goals already, but ahead:

1 - Get into Onederland (I'm about a pound away.)

2 - Fit into my wedding dress from 19 years ago (about 20 pounds away)

3 - Firm up enough to wear a 2 piece bathing suit

4 - Go ziplining (mostly I need courage to do that at this point because I'm well within the weight limit)

5 - Lose another 30 pounds by the time my daughter graduates high school on June 16.

So glad to have found this group -- everyone here seems very positive.

Great discussion question, Kathy!!  Awesome leader!!! I didn't just list one, I listed a ton.  Excited for all of the opportunity that exists.

Goals:

  1. Ride a roller coaster - scheduled for May 2017
  2. Hike the mountains - scheduled for May 2017
  3. Ride a horse
  4. Get off blood pressure, anti-depressant/anxiety/cholesterol meds - Accomplished
  5. Workout at least 5 times a week - ongoing
  6. Eat mindfully - ongoing
  7. Take a class - signed up for drawing class begins Feb
  8. Attend support group 2 x a month - ongoing
  9. Ride outdoor bike (can totally relate Kathy - I was afraid the tire would pop and I would be stuck in the middle of no where.  Yes, the seat killed me.  I ride an indoor bike almost daily ... the seat has become so comfortable.)
  10. Fly on an airplane (no seatbelt extender)
  11. Go to a movie by myself - Accomplished
  12. Continue to follow the plan and lose the weight
  13. Paddle board (love water)

You can absolutely change out the seat on an outdoor bicycle, it's really easy! You can buy a wider replacement seat, I got one like this when I was first riding and my tailbone was just starting to poke through. All you need to swap it out is an allen wrench, or the techs at your friendly local bike shop would be able to help you put it on if you ask nicely :)

Thank you, Kitty.  Looks like a super comfortable seat.  I already installed a large seat on my bike and now that I have lost weight it is awesome!!!
