Hiccups can be an indication you are over eating or eating too fast.  Is this happening when you are eating or directly after?

That is usually a signal of being full.  One bite too many can do it to me.

Ditto. Hiccups and a runny nose were signs I had eaten too much, or too fast. The difference between just right and overdoing it is really, really small.

You might be eating too fast for your system to handle the food. Try to slow down and chew very good to a mush.

So that explains everything. I'm eating too fast my gourmet puréed chicken. Runny nose I though I had a cold. Thanks all for the answers.

Ditto to what everyone else said. It's very easy to overeat when you are first out. One extra teaspoon was all it took for me.

The worst was when I would eat and then take a sip of diet soda....OMG! The first time i ever did that...and I thought I would die.

Try measuring out your food and not pushing the boundaries.

When full, I hiccup 3 times and my nose starts to run
