This journey freaks me out a little sometimes!
Im 7 months out and still amazed at how my body has dropped weight. I hovered at the same weight for almost a month and then BAM! 5 pounds gone in 2 days, and I noticed my body shape change significantly over the course of a weekend. People at work noticed it too. A shirt that was tight a week ago now fits.
Is all great, of course but freaks me out a little.
Just sharing for those who are hitting stalls and getting discouraged. How your body drops weight post surgery is much different than pre!

Totally! In my case, it's usually during a stall that my size drops, or shifts. But not during times of consistent loss. And I've given up trying to figure why stalls happen. I just keep doing what I do, eventually it starts moving again...

I find it totally wierd sometimes too. I'm at about 7.5 months and weight loss has slowed to about a pound a week. But last week the scale dropped 4 pounds overnight. Then again this weekend it went up 2 pounds. I know it was water gain - I didn't drink nearly enough over the weekend - as of yesterday that 2 pounds was gone again. I try to just go with the flow and look at the big picture (no pun intended). My biggest battle now is that the hunger is starting to come back. I need to keep in mind the quote from one of the other posters (sorry I don't remember who to give credit to): "Hunger is not an emergency."

Great advice!
For me, logging helped get rid of my anxiety. I weighed and logged every bite, so I knew how I was doing. And if the scale didn't act the way I expected it to, I knew I just had to be patient.

This journey freaks me out too!!! I am 3 yrs out and struggle with the mind body connection daily, I still see a fat girl in the mirror. The losing, then hitting a stall can be very frustrating but like you said our bodies will change shape and its great to watch all the changes happen.

I will be 8 weeks out this Friday. At three weeks, I hit a stall that lasted 19 days. I was off work for two weeks after the Christmas break and didn't weigh myself at all during that time because I was out of town and didn't have access to a scale. When I got home, I was disappointed to see that I had gained four pounds. I didn't hydrate enough and I think that's why. However, when I returned to work, everyone was saying how much more weight they thought I'd lost. It's weird but I think even when we don't see the scale move, our bodies are still changing.
