NSV/wardrobe malfunction

while we are out of town, we are attending a wake and funeral. I threw my go to funeral skirt in our luggage without much thought. I figured it was so tight (too tight) last time I wore it (size 28)I'd be fine....turns out, not so much. It used to be a tight,  justbelow  knee length skirt, but now it's a matronly, loose midi length that I had to wear up near my bras line hahaha I was stressed the whole time it was going to drop! I bought a dress for New Year's Eve, size 22.

it's a wild ride folks!

Awesome!! Do you notice a pace at which you are moving down sizes? I used to out post-it note with the date & weight I was when when I last wore something to see how long till it was too big. When I was at my high pace losing, I was moving into a new size every six weeks.

I think I'm right around that pace now. I love the post it idea! I'm going to try that so I can keep track!

What ive also noticed is that when my loss feels slower for a couple of weeks, that's when my body changes. I bought a clearance wool pea coat on the first of December, And specifically bought it snug to last longer. I've lost about 12 pounds in that time, which relative to my weight shouldn't make a huge difference, but it's already loose and boxy!

Good idea, I have never had much luck with thrift stores in the past, because they don't carry much selection in bigger sizes. But I think I'll hit them up and see what my odds are now!

ive had good luck with some clearance deals though. I'm trying to always have a good fitting pair of jeans, bras and dress.  I also bought some leggings on clearance that I hope will last a bit.

I'm kind of on this "drop off a bag--pick up a bag" thing at the Goodwill every month.  I get a 25% off coupon for the drop off and end up spending about $75 on new stuff.  I figure it's probably a wash when I consider what I am saving each month on fast food.  Plus-- it's fun to always wear something "new." It's amazing what other people will discard.
