Califsleevin, thank you for this information! When I heard of the possibility of a leak for the rest of a patient's life, it freaked me out! And I've been wondering about the stomach cancer question for a while. Good to know there are options that make sense. While I'm sure the chance of a leak at any time during sleeving is something Dr. Ellner has researched and read about somewhere, it is also possible she brought this up to encourage patients to have the RnY, as she was REALLY pushing RnY over VSG regularly throughout the seminar.
