Post Op Question

There's no way I'd bathe if my incisions weren't completely closed. Also with my big tummy, they did not stay immersed, so it was much like a shower except I got to relax my back in the warm water. :-)

You do know that just because the incisions "look" completely closed on the outside doesn't mean they are. 

You're taking a risk by not listening to your surgeon.

During an earlier surgery I was similarly tempted.  In the 2000s I had a routine hernia repair.  Got a 3 week long vacation in the hospital due to severe MRSA that almost killed me, and I was on antibiotics for over a year.  I also had my bellybutton and a large portion of flesh in my stomach removed.  I now joke about my "million dollar stomach" because it cost close to that to save my life.

Resist the temptation. :)

I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!
