Love Paris, HATE this weight

Hey all,
just wanted to update you on France. I LOVE it.
Ive fit everywhere thus far (though, there have been a few tight squeezes). And no one has been rude to me because of my weight. I'm pretty sure my insecurities and my own self dislike made me worry that people would be cruel. Crazy how deeply ingrained it is that because of my weight i view myself as somehow "less than" and won't be liked.
Downside: even with comfy shoes, my feet and calves are KILLING me. I'm pretty young, high stamina, and still very mobile. But dang. I'm exhausted. I can't help but imagine how much more enjoyable this wonderful trip would be if I was down 100lbs.
So here's my encouragement to you: life is really physically taxing and limiting as a plus size person. It's not worth that extra bite or that cheat. Don't give up on your journey! You've come so far, don't turn back. And if you need to get back on track? It's not too late! Do it! Don't become like this again. Because this weight in this body sucks.
I'm glad you are having a wonderful time in France. Keep focusing on the good.
Honestly, people always seem to judge other people. I have learned NOT to focus on what others think of me. I am loud, I used to be obese, my boyfriend is black, and my kids are Asian. There has always been a reason for people out in public to look at me and my family, but honestly, I do not notice it.
Life is too short to worry about others. Focus on yourself and becoming the best person you can be. Keep up the good work!!

Paris is nice I have been there twice well before I gained a lot of weight. Me and my husband found that if you keep a smile on your face it goes a long way and learning a few simple kind words in French like please and thank you. They dislike rude Americans just like we dislike rude individuals from another country here at home.
One thing that I have found when doing a lot of walking while on vacation even with comfortable shoes is that walking on concrete is horrible. Add to that in many older areas of France and Europe there are brick streets. These streets are horrible for your balance.
Keep up the great attitude!

Happy to hear you're loving Paris!
Begin mini rant:I know it's hard to do, but try to stay in the moment. The weightloss is coming, but you can't pause life until it happens. It makes me sad when I hear people delaying their life until they reach some arbitrary weight, which to be honest, might never happen.
No matter our weight, we are deserving of pleasure, fun, love and adventure.
youre on an adventure! Live it! /end rant
But, your post is a good reminder of one of my main reasons for surgery. I want to make moving through the my world a little easier. And it's shocking that it happens so quickly after surgery. Your time will come!
