Hello from Northern CA!
I was the same - mostly a lurker pre-surgery. OH has been my most valuable resource during this journey! Good luck on your surgery next week!

It is a great place to come. Congratulations on your upcoming surgery.
There are a ton of people who want to help. So keep coming here for support.
I do know coming here on a daily basis keeps me honest.
I hope it is nice and warm where you are at. It is freezing here today. But it is December.
Thank you!
The weather this morning in Northern CA is cold and rainy, however we are due for sun the next 3 days. I'll send you some!
I am committed to daily visits here, as I believe it is an integral component of my new journey. I like the way you've phrased it: "keeps me honest".
Yes indeed!

Welcome!
Regarding your signature - for me, mini meals throughout the day would count as grazing which isn't the way I eat now. My post-op plan is three small meals a day. This works well!

Absolutely agree with this. Mini meals may work for some people before surgery, but if you look at the "what are you eating today" threads you'll see that very few successful people graze like this.
Slogans are all well and good, but it may be better to quote some realistic post-op advice, or share a quote from someone who's been proven successful.
