Glory to GOD!

I hope this will encourage someone today!  Keep going!  Keep focused!  This past week I had my one year anniversary from RNY and when I went for my hospital visit........drum rollllllll.....I lost 201 lbs in one year!  I have gone from 391 to 190 and EVERYONE tells me I look great, however I always humbly reply...I feel even better!

God's grace has got me this far and will help me to succeed long term.

This is the easy part...the dietician tells me...the work ahead over the coming years will be keeping it off!  I am committed and take this process very seriously.  I hope to always respect my new body and treat it better than I treated my old.  What a beautiful gift it has been to have this second chance!

Who ever is reading this...know that all the work you are putting into it, saying no thanks when people offer you "treats" this Christmas, or make a healthy decision, these choices will give you the great results you are hoping for.

Thank you for letting me share a little about my story.

With God...all things are possible!

Awesome job!  You have done great!

Your dietician wasn't kidding about the hard part.  It is very hard to continue to maintain.  But thanks to WLS it is doable.  Before WLS I could lose weight time and time again but I was never able to maintain that lose for any period of time.  I don't think I have ever weighed the same thing from one year to the next in my life.  Until WLS.  That to me is the success of the surgery.  Keeping the weight off.  And believe me, if I can do it, you can do it.  And I know you will!
