Approved For Surgery!

The call from the surgeons office came today, and boy was I happy. I'm scheduled for next Thursday for RNY.  Tomorrow another visit and patient education, so I needed to use PTO day at work. Next Wednesday the dreaded bowel prep, I know TMI. 

Since I'm considered a lightweight I don't know yet what dietary prep I must follow before urgent, but tomorrow I'll find out. I was just so worried my insurance wouldn't approve. I followed every instruction so far, did all the visits and tests. My BMI is qualifying and within requirements.

I'm actually scared and I know I  not the not one with that feeling. This is a new chapter in my life.

Congrats!  My file was just sent yesterday for approval.  How long did it take for your approval?

 

 

It was sent to insurance Dec 1st or 2nd. 

Congrats.  I know you are nervous but will do amazing with your new tool and a smaller you!

Congrats on your approval. That is fast between approval and scheduled surgery date. I was approved in late August and the first available date for surgery was December 6th. Praying that everyone goes well for you in the future.
