revision and MS
Will your dr at least give you an Rx for PT to get as fit as possible. Exercise os only 20% of the weight loss equation and many people do minimal activity.
Sharon
Can you get an RX to work with a trainer or PT in person, now? I ask because exercise, while eschewed by many, can help jump start a health focus and make us feel better.
Working with a person is usually more effective than working alone - but you would know the results - both physical and psych - that you are getting from doing your few things at home.

Sorry but your answer is completely out of line. This is a person with a progressive disease. She is doing what she can. I would suggest you do some reading about he effect of MS.
This person received some good answers for others. No matter the surgery lowering calories will be the only thing that will help.
There is an abundance of evidence that exercise (proper and properly supervised as suggested) helps with many symptoms of ms. I agree with you that lower calories would be the current wisdom, but also that appropriate exercise can provide a mental boost that helps some people stick to lower calories when they are struggling.

I don't think that my suggestion was 'completely out of line.' You are entitled to your opinion, whether well-founded or not.

mser: you are doing more exercise than I am. I lose weight when I stick to my program. Please don't go for a revision until you work your program diligently for at least a month. If you follow your program, you may find there is no need for a revision.
Basics of my program for losing: Calories: 800 or less; Carbs: 40 or less; Protein: 65 or more; Fluid Intake: 64 oz. or more. Weigh and measure everything; keep a food journal.
Best of luck to you.
