Instant Pot meetups

wait, you're in austin!? How cool, I am too! I would totally go to an insta pot. I'm all about my crockpot but I'd love to get an insta pot to shorten the cooking time! :-)

You know what else Austin has a lot of -- hiking groups and meet ups for people who want to get out and explore and do activity things. I used to love going to canoe on Town Lake! I am looking forward to getting back to doing all those kinds of things (surgery next week!!!).

ps. when I read the title of this thread I thought you were talking about the other kind of pot. hahaha

Austin has a lot of those outdoor meet up groups and stand up paddling is popular, plus a really good core work out.

I'm more o*****o golds gym and count every calorie! Type of guy.

No -  I would not go and you should not be inviting strangers to your home - whether they are HotPot aficionados or not.   Find neutral space - at least for the first few meet ups. Like - bring 10 copies of your favorite recipe with instructions to the Denny's at xxx, etc.

There are meet-ups for all sorts of things.  Plus, you can make people give info about themselves in order to join.  You don't know how many people are looking for help with HotPots until you post it.

IMHO as retired LE it is unsafe.

Try looking into your local library if they have a room that you can utilize for free.

You might be able to rent a room at a community college or your local park district.  That might be a safer idea.  I personally would not have people over my house more due to size.  I am not scared of strangers at home, necessarily.  I'm more concerned with space issues.

I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!

It depends. is an Instant Pot big enough to fit a human head? If it is, don't go. If it's not, it's probably safe.

I can't read all of the responses... but I wanted to throw in another opinion just the same

If you are talking about inviting from a group, something like this (we have FB groups for our little town), I'd go. Or if you were inviting people from your Townhouse neighborhood from a group similarly, I would also go.

If you're throwing an open invite out there on Craigslist, I might reconsider

Our little town Facebook page is full of people I know, many that I don't know too - however, so many of the people that I do know know those that I don't. Did that make sense?

I think it depends on where you pull your pool of folks to invite!
