Last night I was lucky enough to go see Shinedown and Five Finger Death Punch. I was very nervous about going. I have only been to two concerts sober in my life and I am almost 50.

The sober part was a major NSV.

Another was me being able to stand the whole time. Also be able to put my jacket next to me and not be gushing out of the seat.

The lead singer of Shinedown is a recovering alcoholic and I heard him speak yesterday on the radio about being sober and living the concert life.

He was a wonderful man. I didn't feel alone there. I knew he was strong and so am I. Even though there were a ton of people there just knowing he was sober gave me a sense of peace.

Thank you for your support. I know I do post a lot about my alcoholism. It actually does help me.
